Delete pages from a PDF

SwiftPDFEdit's Delete PDF Pages tool removes the pages you name from a PDF and hands back a clean copy of everything that is left. You enter page numbers or ranges such as “2, 5-7, 12”, the document is rebuilt without them in your browser, and the original file on your device is never modified.

It is one of the most common PDF repairs there is: the blank sheets a duplex scanner inserts, a cover page that duplicated itself, an outdated appendix, the slide legal asked you to pull before circulation. Removing pages is also a sensible first step before sharing a document externally — the safest way to keep a section private is for it not to be in the file.

Deletion works by rebuilding the document from the pages you keep, copying each one at the object level. Nothing is re-rendered, so text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution and file size drops by roughly the weight of what you removed. Page numbering that was drawn into the page content does not renumber itself — if the document has printed folios, re-run Add Page Numbers afterwards.

Delete and Extract are two directions of the same operation. Deleting is less typing when you are keeping most of the document; extracting is less typing when you are keeping only a few pages. Both leave your source file untouched, so if you delete the wrong page you can simply start again from the original — there is nothing to undo.

Everything runs locally in the browser tab, which matters more here than for most tools: the pages you are removing are often exactly the ones you do not want on somebody else's server. Password-protected documents need to be unlocked first, since an encrypted file cannot be parsed at all.
