About Rotate PDF
SwiftPDFEdit's Rotate PDF tool turns pages 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise or 180° and writes the new orientation into the document itself. You can rotate the whole file or name specific pages, and the corrected PDF downloads from your browser without ever being uploaded.
Sideways scans are the usual reason to be here: a landscape spreadsheet fed into a portrait scanner, a phone photo saved with the wrong orientation flag, a fax-to-PDF gateway that guessed badly, or a merged document where one contributor's pages arrived upside down.
This is not the same as rotating in a PDF reader. Most viewers rotate the view only — the file on disk is unchanged, so the next person to open it sees the original orientation again, and printing comes out sideways. SwiftPDFEdit changes the page's stored rotation attribute, which is part of the document, so the fix travels with the file to every reader, printer and mobile app.
Because rotation is an attribute rather than a redraw, it is completely lossless: no pixels move, nothing is re-compressed, and text stays selectable at whatever angle it now sits. File size is unchanged, and the operation is instant even on a several-hundred-page scan.
Mixed documents are handled by rotating a subset. Switch from “All pages” to “Specific pages” and enter numbers or ranges such as “2, 5-7” to correct only the offending sheets. If different pages need different angles, run the tool more than once — each pass applies a single rotation to the pages you name.
